Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter.
- 1 cup white sugar.
- 1 cup packed brown sugar.
- 2 eggs.
- 2 tsp vanilla extract.
- 1 tsp baking soda.
- 2 tsp hot water.
- 1/2 tsp salt.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour.
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- 1 cup chopped walnuts.
Directions
- Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water, then add to batter along with the salt.
- Stir in the flour until uniform, then stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before baking. Not required, but highly recommended.
- Place as balls onto an un-greased baking pan and bake for 10-12 minutes at 350°F or until the edges are nicely browned.
