Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter.
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar.
  • 1/2 cup white sugar.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract.
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour.
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon.
  • 1 tsp salt.
  • 1 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats.
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts.

Directions

  1. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Stir into the creamed mixture until just blended.
  5. Mix in the quick oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before baking. Not required, but highly recommended.
  7. Place as balls onto a baking pan and bake for 10-12 minutes at 325°F or until the edges are nicely browned.
